Theresa

Founder & Lead Instructor

Theresa holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Toronto, where she studied under Patricia Parr — one of Canada's most distinguished concert pianists and pedagogues.

She earned her ARCT — the Royal Conservatory's highest performance diploma — and brings that concert-level standard directly into her teaching. Her experience as a chamber musician in two professional piano trios gives her a rare sensitivity to musical listening that she weaves into every lesson.

With more than two decades of teaching experience across studios in Toronto, Waterloo, and Woodinville, Theresa's approach is warm and encouraging, with genuinely high standards. She believes every student is capable of more than they think — and her job is to help them discover that, joyfully.

For motivated students, Theresa offers full preparation toward RCM examinations at every level, including the ARCT — the same credential she holds.

A Partnership Built on Fit

Fallbrooke Piano Academy accepts a small number of students each semester — enough to ensure every student receives Theresa's full attention and a genuinely personal musical path. Theresa welcomes beginners and advanced students who are ready to engage — typically ages 10 and up, though a motivated younger student is always worth a conversation. Every enrollment begins with a personal conversation so Theresa can get to know your family and your student's goals before the first lesson. Families who thrive here share one thing: a genuine love of music and a commitment to the process.
